Beedan 100mg Tablet contains dasatinib, a targeted cancer medicine used to treat blood cancers in children aged one year and above, as well as adults. It is prescribed for newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) in the chronic phase and for Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (Ph+ ALL) in patients who have not responded to other treatments.
Chronic myeloid leukaemia is a type of blood cancer where the body produces too many white blood cells due to a genetic change in the Philadelphia chromosome. Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia is the most common form of blood cancer in children, where white blood cells called lymphocytes multiply rapidly and survive longer than normal. Beedan 100mg Tablet works by blocking the abnormal proteins that signal cancer cells to grow, helping to slow or stop the spread of cancer.
